ISA deadline for the 2017/2018 Tax Year news story

If you would like to subscribe to a new ISA or top up an existing ISA for the 2017/2018 tax year, we require sufficient time to process these requests before we close for business on Thursday 5 April 2018. Whatever your chosen method of sending funds to us (cheque, Bacs, Faster Payment), you must ensure the funds reach us by Thursday 5 April 2018 to allow time for processing.

Online new account applications for 2017/2018 will be suspended from close of business on Thursday 29 March 2018. If you have an outstanding application, we must receive your signed application and supporting documentation by Wednesday 4 April. Top ups for 2017/2018 subscriptions will be available as debit card receipts via the Online Service until 4.30pm on Thursday 5 April 2018. Top ups by Faster Payment and Chaps payments (telegraphic transfers) must be sent from your bank account by Wednesday 4 April. If you have not yet made a subscription, or are unsure whether you have, you should contact us first to check whether a further application form is required to meet HMRC regulations. You should allow sufficient time for any required documentation to be received by us in the post by Wednesday 4 April 2018.

Online applications and top ups for the 2018/2019 tax year will be available again from 12.01am on Friday 6 April 2018.

Please note, if you have withdrawn from your flexible ISA, you must replace the funds before the end of the tax year you withdrew the funds from for it not to count against the current tax year subscription limits.
